Economical. Friendly. Tugboat, the greater, is very sweet. Waiting area is very neat and clean. Definitely will recommend. Will patronize again.

Car flashed Checked Charging system before dying on me. Got it towed to Hay’s found out it was a bad alternator and corroded positive terminal. Had the alternator replaced last year, so still under warranty. They got my taken care of with no fuss all within 24 hours. Also recommend coming to these guys when possible! Thanks Hay Tires in Moncks Corner!

I had been up since 6 am driving down to a dental school in Charleston - MUSC. I can't afford implants from a regular dentist so this was it. Right off the bat on 485, my right tire blew out. It had every right to, it was four years old and had delivered me to the east coast as well as trundled me up and down 77 and 26. So it was "tired" haha. Anyways, called triple A, texted my student dentist, and two hours later on my way (again) to Charleston. Everything went as planned, bone graft looking fab, screw implants up next. Dope. So I decide to head back to Charlotte via country roads because eve though it takes longer, it's waaaaay nicer. Unfortunately on my meander out, I hit a rock or something and noticed, almost immediately, I had a flat tire, this time front left. I was in a place called Moncks Corner (the spelling seems wrong to me but what do I know). I stopped at a gas station there and asked a chill dude in a neon vest if he could help me right before he was getting into his truck. Blue collar guys can literally save the world with their know-how. He takes a look and asks me how far I have to go. I'm hysterical at this point having been through a brutal 3.30 drive south to Charleston after having a tire blow out and then shelling out a few hundred. Getting my stitches taken out by my almost caring student dentist after a harrowing bone graft. And then this happens, I tell him Charlotte and then immediately get into my truck to have a breakdown. Tow trucks and new tires and nights at dubious motels swirling around in my head. He knocks gently on my window. "Hey there's a tire place like a mile back that will take good care of you about a mile back, they close at 5:30." Amidst my tears and half sobs I manage to thank him and make my way to Hay's Tires. They were so wonderfully patient with deregulated perimenopausal white lady and they let me sit I the corner and sob quietly while they fixed the valve on my new tire. When I asked what I owed they simply shook their heads and sent me on my way. Absolute heroes.

Hay Tire personnel were timely, efficient, and extremely professional. The Moncks Corner SC staff were friendly and caring, going out of their way to help stranded out of town customers. A special shout out to manager Akexis for her personnel attention to help us, making sure our radiator was repaired quickly to get us back on the road. Our AAA wrecker service recommended this shop and they were right.
